Caramel Maple
This Big Leaf Maple has been heat treated achieve a naturally dark color without any toxic dyes or chemicals. Yellow poplar is a sustainable hardwood tree grown primarily in the US. It is low density and relatively soft so that the blade’s edge is not dulled through storage and carbon knives should not rust.
This saya fits many double bevel Japanese 150mm Hankotsu/ Honesuki Maru boning knives with western handles. It has a neodymium magnet inside to keep your knife sheathed. It will accommodate knives with spines up to 3mm at the base. It does no fit western style knives with a full heel (e.g. Henkel, Wustof and Sabatier). For single bevel, odd shaped or oversized knives such as Takeda, please fill out a Custom Saya form.
