Nakiri Saya Magnetic

This saya fits many double bevel Japanese style Chef / Gyuto knives with either western or Japanese Was style handles. It will accommodate knives with spines up to 3.5mm or 4.5mm at the base. It does no fit western style knives with a flared finger guard on the heel (e.g. Henkel, Wustof, Mercer, etc.)

This saya comes equipped with a strong neodymium magnet to hold the knife in place. It does not come with a pin or a pin hole

Yellow Poplar is a sustainable (FSC Certified) American hardwood that is perfectly suited to protect your knife. It is durable enough to stand up to everyday use, but forgiving on your blade. Whether it’s an everyday line knife or a mirror polished showpiece, our yellow poplar saya will help you maintain that edge and sheen. This wood also offers amazing moisture wicking characteristics, so you can rest a little easier about you carbon blades in humid environments.

Our saya are finished and buffed with mineral oil. This will offer some protection to your knife cover without inhibiting the woods natural moisture wicking properties.
